CHEMICAL PEELINGS (ACIDS)

Chemical peelings

are treatments that rapidly improve the appearance of the skin and have an anti-ageing and healing effect on the causes of skin problems. What all peelings have in common is an effect on cell renewal, by exfoliating the top layers of the skin (including dead skin cells) and a repairing action on the deep layers of the skin. In general, the deeper the action of the peel, the stronger the repairing effect and the greater the exfoliation after treatment.

Depending on the composition of the peel, it has a healing effect:

    • anti-inflammatory, cleansing, accelerates healing of lesions and increases skin resistance: acne, rosacea
    • brightening: melasma, hyperpigmentation
    • rejuvenating: ageing, photoageing, reduction in depth of wrinkles
    • brightening dark circles under the eyes
    • reducing the appearance of stretch marks, scars, acne scars
    • moisturising and firming

Appropriately selected peelings with antioxidant properties can also be used in summer, provided sunscreen creams are used; peelings with an inhibitory effect on melanin synthesis reduce the risk of discolouration.

Key information regarding the post-treatment period:

  • exfoliation usually begins 2-3 days after treatment and lasts 3-5 days
  • the degree of exfoliation can vary from imperceptible to coarse, discussing with your doctor your plans for the week after the treatment allows you to avoid surprises and optimise the timing and strength of the treatment
  • you can receive samples of professional cosmetics for skin barrier reconstruction, sufficient for the healing period of the skin, which significantly shortens convalescence, reduces side effects (redness) and ensures a better effect of the treatment
  • sunscreen should be applied during the entire peeling period and preferably 2 weeks after the treatment

The preparations most frequently used in our practice are those produced by Mediderma and Skintech Pharma Group:

PREPARATIONS WITH FERULIC ACID, PHLORETIN (FERULAC PEEL)

Peeling with moisturising, anti-ageing and discolouration-reducing effects consists of the application of several layers of 2 different solutions and a mist containing plant and restorative substances. Thanks to the patented technology of encapsulating the peel particles in nanosomes, it provides action with minimal exfoliation. The degree of exfoliation depends on the number of layers applied, and a retinol gel can be applied at the end to enhance the anti-ageing action of the peel. Unique features of the Ferulac treatment:

  • after a sensitisation test, it can be used on atopic and very dry skin, increases the skin’s resistance and hydration
  • can be applied all year round. Antioxidant and photoprotective action reduces the risk of hyperpigmentation.

PEELINGS FOR ACNE VULGARIS AND ROSACEA

The therapeutic action is related to the use of azelaic and salicylic acids. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory action, they act on the causes of acne and rosacea. It does not exclude the patient from daily activities (very little or no exfoliation even when several layers of peeling are applied) and can be used on very sensitive skin. Reduces pathogens that exacerbate acne and rosacea, accelerates healing of skin lesions, increases immunity and reduces redness of vascular skin.

It shrinks pores and cleanses the skin.

Fact: salicylic acid is one of the few acids that penetrates to the bottom of the sebaceous glands.

  • blend of acids with brightening and anti-inflammatory effects
  • hyaluronic acid

Which problems can be expected to improve?

  • gray, flabby skin with fine wrinkles
  • skin ageing features
  • discolourations
  • enlarged pores
  • acne
  • dry skin (hydration), combination skin (normalization)

This peeling does not require a period of convalescence. Slight exfoliation and redness begins 2-3 days after the peel and lasts for several days.
The full treatment is 3 treatments at 3-week intervals.

EASY TCA PAIN CONTROL PEELING

Belongs to the group of medium-depth peels. The ingredients in this peel reduce pain sensation while maintaining the depth of action typical of trichloroacetic acid.

It is indicated in:

  • skin ageing
  • widening of pores
  • flabbiness
  • greying skin

Due to its depth of action, usually requires convalescence at home (coarse peeling)
